photo The building we are currently in was originally the Masonic Temple in Ferndale.

Our name, Via Nove, came about from the brainstorming of Lisa Beato, Chef Joey Beato’s sister, and Bob Beato, Chef Joe’s son.

Lisa suggested the restaurant be called Nove, which is the number nine in Italian.

Bob suggested adding Via, which means road in Italian, and there you go – Via Nove is created.

Perfect since Via Nove is located right on 9 Mile.

By the way, Via Nove is pronounced VEE-ah Noh-veh.
